Taste tester
Today’s SPOTD was an evening shopper at our local Woolworths supermarket.
An older male shopper about 70 years old was reading the label on a jar of lemon-flavoured spread for a while. As we stood near him looking at something else, he opened the jar with a loud POP, breaking the hermetic seal. He then looked closely at the contents and sniffed them before sticking his finger into the spread and sticking it in his mouth to test the flavour. Having decided that he didn’t like the flavour, he screwed the top back onto the jar and then replaced it on the shelf among the other jars before wandering off.
And people wonder why supermarkets have such high prices. Sure there’s profiteering but this sort of wastage doesn’t help! Grr!
