Looking for some inspiration for a potential upcoming bathroom renovation, we went out to Aurora - one of the new housing estates popping up on the fringe of Melbourne with display houses open for inspection.
The estate is plastered with signage all over the place promising a brighter future in a rural setting. None of the thousands of new residents appear to appreciate the irony that the houses are all placed 1 metre apart and there’s no rural setting left whatsoever.
The sign that really caught my eye though, was one in the main driveway as you enter the estate promising ‘A Greener Future‘.
Right beside a massive line of tree stumps and dead foliage from where they’ve been through with the chainsaw to clear out those pesky trees so they can get houses onto those sites…
